Registration Begins for Kuwait’s Nat’l Quran Contest |

Registration has begun for the 14th edition of Kuwait’s national Quran competition, KUNA reported.
Organized by Kuwait’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry, the contest would be held in two categories of Tajweed and memorization of the holy Quran. Iman Al-Hamidan, and official with the Awqaf Ministry said that registration would continue through March 11. He said that this year’s competition is held with the aim of acquainting the youth with the noble Quran. There will be different sections for men, women and teenagers. Winners of the contest will receive 100,000 Kuwaiti Dinars at the closing ceremony, which is to be attended by the country’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah. |
