According to the society’s secretary general Ahmad Ibadi, the center would be established in the capital Rabat.

“It will be a specialized center for conducting comprehensive research studies on the universe, man and life in view of the noble Quran as well as Quranic concepts and terms,” he said.

Mr. Ibadi added that the center would cooperate with universities and scientific institutes in other Islamic countries to conduct joint Quranic research studies.

He went on to say that holding scientific meetings and conferences as well as publishing papers on Quranic themes in different languages including Arabic, English, French, and Spanish would be among the center’s activities.

Morocco is a Muslim-majority Arab country in northern Africa.
